How much weight did you lose?

I’m not going to weigh myself tomorrow morning because I contaminated myself with sushi and beer. But in six days, each time weighing myself after waking up (although the latter time was much later in the day owing to my absurd sleep habits), I lost seven pounds.

Will you keep the weight off?

I’ll update in a week and again in a month.

How expensive was the diet?

In total, it cost about $95.76. That sounds like a lot, but it actually is not that ridiculous.

One school year eating at HUDS costs $4,983. For that much, you could do my diet over and over for almost exactly one full calendar year at Berryline.

In addition, let’s assume you are not absurd and don’t feel the compulsion to buy all your water at Berryline. That shaves about $14 off the cost, bringing us to $81.76. $4,983 will then buy you over 60 weeks of Berryline food.

Not to mention that I was ordering much more than I needed in order to try everything. There is no godly reason to pour chocolate syrup on anything (admittedly that was free, but same applies to the chocolate chips and coconut). This is also true for the weight loss.

Was it good for you?

I’m not qualified to say. I can say that with the exception of one evening, I felt fully awake, alert and healthy despite eating fewer meals.

What was most surprising?

I only needed 12 bottles of water. Although I did drink a lot of smoothies and coffee.

The sushi (chosen by y’all) was interesting to have. I had something with tuna and avocado in it, and then some tuna and salmon sushi (which were the inside-out looking kind). The taste was quite exhilarating. Although I got really full almost instantly and could barely finish my celebratory Corona. I think my stomach has significantly shrunk.

Had to change my mind about fasting. I showed up for a Berryline date with my freshman year roommate and got the iced mocha with skim milk and Equal ($3.62). I then realized with a sense of dread that there was maple syrup on the coffee bar. Having not sampled this supplement was almost criminal, so I ordered a small apple cinnamon with toffee bits ($3.36). The syrup worked wonderfully with the already delicious concoction, which I believe I have previous reviewed.

Now for the iced mocha. When I was growing up and it was really cold, I used to love hot chocolate (OK I still do). I would sometimes have hot chocolate every day. I wouldn’t necessarily finish the cup every day (sugar overload) and a few times may have left the half-filled mug, say, on the windowsill. The next day I would have my new, warmer hot chocolate, but every once in a great while might accidentally reach for the wrong cup and end up with a sip from the stale, chilly remains of what could have been a great drink.

The guy who invented the iced mocha had the same experience happen to him, and decided that he wanted it to happen more often, except bitter and watered down.

172.0 lbs, or a loss of 7 lbs in 6 days. Too bad I’m going to ruin it by eating a lot tonight. I’m fasting in anticipation, so probably my next update today will be a roundup rather than a meal.

Finally had the espresso shot, which was much much larger than a liquor shot. It was also hotter and grosser. Had it straight (are you not supposed to?) and barely got it down. But it was the last item on my list, yay! Maybe I’ll try one of the iced coffees tomorrow, but I’m considering that obligation complete.

I also had the medium original with heath bar (going through the classics). Also very good.

Total cost: $5.46 (or close to that. I didn’t write it down fast enough for my addled mind).

I had another diet-related dream last night, in which I was starving and stranded in Berrylineless New York.

Now that I’m done with the toppings, I thought I’d go back to my standby of original with raspberries and strawberries. It was, of course, delicious–berries are really the strength of Berryline, would you believe. I also had a small Mocha with skim milk, plus a packet of Splenda. My favorite coffee so far (I guess because it doesn’t taste like coffee). Total cost $7.72.

The girl at the register said “I don’t know if we should give you more Berryline” (I’m not sure whether because she felt bad for me or because they didn’t like my reviews) and also seemed to know my opinion on the nuts (“skeptical”), so I have to presume she’s reading (hi!), although I don’t know how she recognized me. One of the customers also commented that he thought my week was done. For the sake of other Berryline staffers and customers who don’t know what I look like but want to praise my glory, and also to break up the spartan layout of this blog, here are some pictures of previous meals.
